ePlus Selected by Magee Rehabilitation Hospital for Unified Communications and Data Center Upgrade

HERNDON, VA - March 15, 2012 - ePlus inc. (NASDAQ NGS: PLUS - news) announced today that its subsidiary, ePlus Technology, inc., has designed and deployed a unified communications and network upgrade for Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, one of the nation's premier rehabilitation hospitals for traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, amputation, and orthopedics in Philadelphia, PA.

Magee Rehabilitation Hospital needed to replace a legacy PBX phone system and at the same time deploy a scalable collaboration architecture to support its increasing application and data needs. ePlus designed, configured, and implemented a complete Cisco solution by refreshing the local area and wireless networks and implementing a new unified communications platform enabled with specialized applications for mass notification, paging, and 911 alerts. ePlus' project management methodology was utilized in conjunction with its professional services team for the full lifecycle of the engagement, from planning and design to installation, training, and documentation.

Magee Rehab has seen numerous benefits from the solution implemented by ePlus, including improved network reliability, performance, and scalability; easier administration; enhanced patient care, patient and guest convenience, employee productivity; and cost savings.

"We're pleased to extend our successful relationship with Magee Rehab through this unified communications and network initiative. With sales and engineering teams in the Philadelphia area and demonstrated success assisting healthcare organizations, including other Jefferson Health System partner hospitals, we are able to help Magee Rehab elevate patient care through integrated and advanced technologies," said Joseph T. Wood, national technology director of healthcare at ePlus Technology.

"Embracing leading-edge technology and making it available to our teams is a strategic pillar for Magee Rehab," said Jack A. Carroll, president and CEO of Magee Rehabilitation Hospital. "Giving our caregivers access to the best tools increases their efficiency and productivity, and translates into better quality care for our patients. With this upgraded communications system and network in place, we have a reliable foundation to enhance our existing offerings and support additional technologies."
