Government at all levels faces unprecedented demand for services at a time when revenue shortfalls and budget cutbacks are the norm rather than the exception. How can you stretch your budget to meet the requirements of your mission and your constituents? ePlus is here to help you structure and complete a lease that will maximize the use of your budget funds, provide you with the equipment you need now, as well as keep you technologically and capacity current.

Designing and executing innovative and cost-effective municipal leasing and financing solutions since 1990, the team at ePlus is backed by many years of experience and thousands of successful transactions. ePlus understands the complexities of the state and local government leasing marketplace, and has mastered the specific nuances of thousands of individual entities. ePlus delivers solutions which are as varied as your municipalities’ requirements. We can structure tax-exempt leases, which will result in your owning the asset of your choice, we can put together a lease to meet current equipment needs, and we can help you navigate the financial and legal issues required to move forward on your operational needs today. ePlus leasing bridges the gap between the assets needed NOW and the budget monies currently available. Leasing gives the municipal government customer–and its suppliers–the flexibility and leverage to obtain and deliver optimal solutions when you need them . . . now.

Who Can Take Advantage of Tax-Exempt Municipal Leasing?

In order to qualify for the benefits of tax-exempt municipal leasing, an entity must either: 1) possess the power of eminent domain, 2) possess police powers, or 3) levy taxes. Just because an agency is supported by government funds, or is not subject to sales tax, does not ensure qualification. Non-profit corporations do not meet the standards to qualify for tax-exempt municipal leasing. State and local governments and their political subdivisions, qualify for the financial and administrative benefits of tax-exempt municipal leasing. Among those qualified entities are:

States Counties
Cities Towns
Villages Boroughs
Public Hospitals Fire Departments
School Districts Police Departments
State Universities Community Colleges
